The Sherman Room contains a fascinating collection of books, pictures, artifacts and other resources that
document the Brimfield community and its past. Over time, information about many of these items - oral histories, glass
plate negatives, genealogical information, portraits - will be displayed in an effort to make access to these resources
more readily available. However, as with all libraries and museums, nothing can replace an onsite visit.
The Brimfield Public Library is always interested in enhancing the cultural and historical heritage of Brimfield and
insuring that the information displayed is accurate and complete. If you would like to share your Brimfield-related
memories and/or memorabilia, please contact our local historian,

Oral Histories The Library maintains a wonderful
collection of Oral Histories that were conducted over the last 25 years. Many prominent citizens of Brimfield participated,
providing an irreplaceable source of documentation and history not available through other sources. The histories are
all on cassette and an effort is underway to also make them available on CD. |
