		Welcome! The Friends of the BPL formed in 2006 with the primary goal of helping to fund services and programs not quite covered by the Library's annual budget. Through annual membership fees as well as fund-raising efforts, we are committed to helping the library provide new enriching programs and expand those already in existence, update its media and technology and continue its indispensable service to the town. Our mission also includes developing a volunteer base to help us with programs and events. With the support of our community, we have already accomplished many "wish list" items, such as: Helping the summer reading program grow (supplies and prizes) Artists of the Month receptions Cooking With Kate program Drum circle Book readings and discussions with local authors Annual fee for the Library's website And we've purchased items such as: Museum passes - Magic wings, Ecotarium and more to come (we're open to suggestions!).
